Filler is a non-adhesive liquid embolic agent comprised of n butyl polymer dissolved in DMSO. Embolization of lesions in the peripheral and neurovasculature, including arteriovenous malformations and hypervascular tumors. The filler is non-adhesive, the microcatheter can be left in place while slow, controlled injections are performed.
Embolic treatment for Arterial Venous Malformations
Filler is non-adhesive liquid embolic agent comprised of n butyl polymer dissolved in DMSO.Embolization of lessions in the peripheral and neurovasculature, including arteriovenous malfornations and hypervascular tumors.
It is a liquid embolic agent formed by the Synthesis of Solvent Dimethyl Sulfur Oxide (DMSO) to N-butyl polymer. It is a ready-to-use, transparent liquid. It is used together with 1:2 Dextrose (5% and/or 10%) during use. Invamed Injector (DMSO Compatible) Invamed Embolization Catheters are used together. Different brands of Injectors and catheters may not be DMSO compatible. It is High Density. It is rendered radiopaque with Lipiodol.
Filler is delivered through a microcatheter into the AVM under fluoroscopic
control. The DMSO solvent dissipates into the blood and interstitial fluids, Filler immediately forms a skin as the polymeric embolus solidifies from the outside to the inside, while traveling more distally in the vessel.
CAN BE PERFORMED IN MINUTES
Filler works by causing an inflammatory reaction over the endothelium of the target vein upon the injection of the polymer and simultaneous pressure application.
Filler was developed for the treatment of peripheral and neurovascular, including arteriovenous malformations and hypervascular tumors by a simple polymerization method. Small amounts of polymer delivered endovenous and pressure up to 2-3 minutes applied for total closure
