Neurovascular catheter manufacturing is among the most demanding disciplines in medical device production: cerebral vessels require catheters that stay kink-free and trackable through sequential tight curves while preserving a uniform inner lumen for coil and liquid embolic delivery. INVAMED's catheter line integrates the full process chain — polymer extrusion and multi-durometer shaft lamination, stainless and nitinol braid or coil reinforcement, radiopaque marker band placement, distal tip forming, hydrophilic coating, and hub bonding with strain relief — under one roof. Partners use this capability either to manufacture an existing design or to co-develop a new neurovascular catheter from specification to finished, packaged device.

  • Concept and feasibility — clinical need definition, competitive and literature review, early risk assessment.
  • Design and engineering — CAD design, material selection, and design-for-manufacture decisions made jointly with production engineers.
  • Medical device prototyping — rapid iteration of working prototypes on production-representative equipment, so prototype behavior predicts serial manufacturing behavior.
  • Verification and validation — bench testing, simulated-use testing, and design verification against the agreed specification.

  • Scale-up and serial production — transfer to validated production lines with in-process controls and full device traceability.

Materials and Components for Catheter-Based Devices

Teams searching for catheter material suppliers for neurovascular devices usually need more than raw polymer: they need a partner who converts materials into finished, functioning assemblies. INVAMED works with the established material classes of interventional devices — Pebax and nylon shaft polymers, PTFE liners, hydrophilic coating chemistries, nitinol for self-expanding structures and braids, platinum-iridium for radiopaque markers, and medical-grade cyanoacrylate formulations — and supplies them as manufactured components or complete devices rather than as raw stock. Can INVAMED manufacture a custom neurovascular catheter to our specification?

Yes. Custom neurovascular catheter programs are quoted from your specification — dimensions, reinforcement, tip configuration, coating, and packaging — and move through prototyping, verification, and pilot production before serial supply.

Does INVAMED support prototyping only, without serial manufacturing?

Development-stage engagements, including prototyping and design-for-manufacture consulting, are available as standalone programs. Most partners continue into pilot and serial production, but it is not a requirement.

Which regions does INVAMED supply?
