OVERVIEW

 SARS CoV-2 Triple Gene RT-qPCR detects SARS-CoV-2 specific ORF1ab gene, nucleocapsid (N) gene and envelope (E) gene in a single channel. Results are available in less than 30 minutes for improved workflow and improved patient care management. The sensitivity and specificity of SARS CoV-2 Triple Gene RT-qPCR are 100% and 100%, respectively.

The kit is applied to nucleic acid extracts from nasopharyngeal aspirate/lavage, bronchoalveolar lavage, nasopharyngeal swab, oropharyngeal swab and saliva samples using vNAT® extraction buffer or robotic extraction systems.

The kit provides rapid diagnosis by one-step reverse transcription (RT) and real-time PCR (qPCR) (RT-qPCR) method targeting N, E and RdRp gene fragments specific to SARS-CoV-2. The Oligo Mix component included in the kit also contains the human RNase-P oligo set. This set of oligos targets the exome-exome linkage in mRNA but not the human genome. In this way, sampling is used to check many conditions such as RNA integrity, nucleic acid extraction, reverse transcription and inhibition of qPCR. Contamination is ensured by the negative control included in the kit, and the stability of the qPCR reagent is controlled by the positive control.

With the kit, the RT-qPCR result can be obtained in less than 30 minutes.
