A Global Legacy of Medical Device Innovation

A Vision Takes Shape 2006

A journey began with a singular focus on developing specialized catheters for peripheral vascular interventions. During these formative years, dedicated R&D teams worked tirelessly to create cutting-edge catheter systems designed to address complex endovascular challenges while minimizing patient trauma. Through close collaboration with vascular surgeons and interventional radiologists, each prototype underwent rigorous testing, ensuring these early innovations laid a robust foundation for the broad range of therapies to come.

A Commitment to Excellence Across 17 Surgical Branches

Building on catheter expertise, INVAMED extended its product lines into:

  • Laser Fibro-Optic Technologies: Innovative cables tailored for varicose vein ablations, herniated disc decompressions, and hemorrhoid treatments—harnessing precisely targeted laser energy for effective yet minimally invasive procedures.
  • Radiofrequency (RF) Therapies: Utilizing thermal ablation for venous insufficiency, ENT interventions, and certain spine or proctology procedures. This synergy of laser and RF further diversified INVAMED’s energy-based product portfolio, ensuring clinicians have a comprehensive set of safe, modern tools to choose from.

Driven by relentless research, strategic partnerships, and select acquisitions (including Cytronics for orthopedic and spinal technologies), INVAMED now serves 17 distinct surgical specialties:

Strategic Growth: DVT Treatments, Stent Platforms, and Adhesive Innovations

By refining these therapies, INVAMED gained the momentum to address deep vein thrombosis (DVT) with pharmaco-mechanical strategies and to design vena cava filters and advanced venous stents. Simultaneously, our R&D teams tackled arterial stents (including coronary, peripheral), and introduced vascular robotic systems that enhance precision in complex endovascular cases.

A standout development during this period was the adhesive approach to varicose veins, often referred to as “Turkish Glue” on the global stage—offering an alternative to thermal ablation with immediate vein closure and minimal postoperative discomfort.

Oncologic and Organ-Focused RFA Systems

In response to oncology-driven needs, we extended radiofrequency ablation devices to treat liver, thyroid, and kidney tumors, as well as certain lung metastases. This approach underscored our capacity to adapt RFA platforms for organ-specific interventions, complementing conventional surgical or chemotherapeutic regimens and promoting tissue-sparing techniques.

Additionally, renal denervation projects emerged—targeting treatment-resistant hypertension through endovascular ablation of renal sympathetic nerves, thus broadening our presence in interventional cardiology.

Stent Grafts, Neurovascular Tools, and ENT/Plastic Advances

As the 2010s progressed, INVAMED focused heavily on aortic stent grafts (for EVAR and TEVAR), combining advanced fabric and stent designs to provide robust seals in AAA/TAA repairs. Concurrently, neurovascular lines emerged, including liquid embolic agents for intracranial pathologies.

In parallel, we developed ENT ablation devices and aesthetic solutions—liposuction cannulas integrated with laser or RF energy for improved cosmetic outcomes, and specialized catheters facilitating minimally invasive or “closed” surgeries once performed only by open techniques.

Collaborative Growth and the INVAMED Medical Innovation Institute (2022)

Recognizing that true innovation thrives on collaboration, INVAMED established the INVAMED Medical Innovation Institute in 2022. Through alliances with universities, research institutes, and frontline clinicians worldwide, we accelerated the shift “from idea to product,” pursuing patents and forging advanced prototypes at record pace. This initiative not only spurred development in 17 surgical branches but also deepened our academic and industry partnerships—merging talents from engineering, healthcare, and data science to drive near- and long-term breakthroughs.

Spanning 80 Countries: Committed to Patient-Centered Growth

Today, INVAMED’s presence extends to 80 countries, with each local network of healthcare professionals and distribution partners contributing expertise and feedback. This global tapestry underscores our unwavering mission to relieve pain, treat once intractable ailments, and transform patient outcomes through minimally invasive solutions.

A Look Forward: 2024 and Beyond

Poised at the intersection of medical device engineering and digital transformation, we heavily invest in AI, supercomputing, and predictive analytics—refining existing products (catheters, stents, RFA devices, adhesives) while conceiving next-generation technologies such as artificial heart supports and vascular robotics:

  • AI-Assisted Design: Harnessing big data to streamline product development and personalize therapies.
  • Supercomputing for R&D: Rapid prototyping and virtual testing expedite device optimization without compromising regulatory rigors.
  • Integration Across Specialties: Collaborations with surgeons, engineers, and universities push the boundaries of innovation, continuously elevating patient care across all clinical fronts.
